We fall down, when we get drunk.

I know what you're thinking. "Another cop out? What is going on with your writing habits ditriech?" Yes, there have been some 'cop out' posts as of late. But you people should know by now that's what I do. I'm only good for maybe three quality posts a week. And this is not one of them. Anyhoo, after the jump is my email to the WNDC (which I actually meant to post tomorrow seeing as it was a week away from the event, but I didn't wake up until 1025 which didn't leave me nearly enough time to write a post, though I am sure that the alarm went of which didn't make Gradakiss all that happy)

April is the official question & answer month of the WNDC. In honor of this very special time of the WNDC Calender, we'll allow ditriech, the Director of Communications of this organization to answer any of your questions about this month's meeting. You can contact him directly at dircommunications.at.wednightdrinkingclub.com

Q) Whatever happened to that time way back in February when we were supposed go to the Red Derby?

A) Yeah, that plan is back and in full frontal effect for this Month people. No Excuses. Like that one t-shirt.

Q) Why the Red Derby?

A) Mostly because they have Bittburger and Bittburger is awesome.

Q) Ok, whatever. Where is this mythical Red Derby?

A) 3718 14th St. NW
Washington, DC 20010

Q) When is it supposed to be? The 30th?

A) Nah, just to shake things up a little, I've decided to do it on the 23rd.

Q) So what about the large number of participants that need to metro there, like yourself?

A) The Red Derby is about a ten minute walk from both the Columbia Heights and Georgia Avenue Metro Stations, which are on the Green and Yellow lines.

When exiting the Georgia Avenue Metro you will want to walk north along Georgia Avenue less then a half a block and take a left onto Quincy Street. Proceed directly along Quincy Street until you get to 14th Street, where Quincy Street comes to an end. When you reach 14th and Quincy, The Red Derby will be directly in front of you. It is only about a four block walk, but they are four long blocks. (If you cross Kansas Avenue you are headed in the right direction.)

The Columbia Heights Metro exits right onto wither side of 14th Street.

Walk north on 14th Street (past the new mall construction, in the direction of the Tivoli Theater and the Giant supermarket.) Proceed along 14th for about nine (short) blocks. The Red Derby will be on your left hand side about a half a block up after you cross Spring Road. (If you cross Park Road, Monroe, Meridian, Newton, etc. you are headed in the right direction.)

Q) Wow that was long, did you write that yourself?

A) Nah, I copied it from the Red Derby's site.

Q) Why is the email so weak this month?

A) Because I've been spending almost all my free writing brain cells over at CofaBG and battling bouts of sobriety.

Q) Weak.

A) That really wasn't a question.

Q) True. Anyhoo, I've been hearing rumors about a WNDC website, are they true?

A) Yeah, I've just been lazy.

Q) Why are all the WNDC meetings in the District?

A) This isn't true. Last Month's meeting was in Arlington at Sinè, and the February meeting never happened.

Q) Wait, the February meeting did happen. I was there! It was at [Name Redacted]!

A) You see how that name there was redacted? That bar no longer exists insofar as the WNDC is concerned.

Q) Is that even the correct use of the word "insofar"?

A) Probably not. But I've been sober for a while now. Starting to get to me.

Q) Anything else we should know?

A) Yeah, you should probably RSVP, so we don't have a situation like we did when we went to [Name Redacted] in February.
